Proposal and Grant Writing for Northern Artists – with Alan Greyeyes

From music festivals and outreach concerts to conferences and export missions, Alan will identify the grants that are available for arts programming in Canada and share the lessons that he’s learned during the application, management, and reporting processes.

Alan Greyeyes serves as the Festival Director for the sākihiwē festival and describes himself as a music industry helper. He also volunteers with the Indigenous Music Office board of directors; the Polaris Music Prize board of directors; and the Indigenous committees at the National Music Centre and the Winnipeg Folk Festival. In 2023, Alan received the Making a Difference award from the Winnipeg Arts Council and in 2020 he earned the Arts Award of Distinction from the Manitoba Arts Council. Alan is a member of the Peguis First Nation.

Cancellation policy

Creative Manitoba reserves the right to cancel or postpone any event where a minimum registration level has not been met. Participants registered for an event that is cancelled by Creative Manitoba will receive a full refund.

Registrants may cancel up to one week before the event to receive a full refund. No refunds will be issued to registrants who cancel within one week of the event start date. No refunds will be issued for registrants who do not attend.

Substitute participants are allowed in most cases, but not all. Please check with us ahead of time if you wish to send a substitute participant by calling 204-927-2787.
