Self-Publishing: Working With a Service Provider
Presented in partnership with FriesenPress
Do you have a story to tell? Do you want to put that story out in the world on your own?
Join us as we delve into the world of self-publishing and what it entails to work with a service provider.
We’ll discuss exactly what self-publishing is, the differences between ‘do-it-yourself’ and using a service provider, plus go into a detailed look at the stages of a book’s typical production lifecycle when choosing to partner with a provider.
The presentation covers:
- What is self-publishing?
- Benefits of self-publishing
- DIY and Service Provider: How it works and the benefits & drawbacks to both
- Lifecycle of a book (when working with service providers) with a mini overview of each stage
- Examples of books FriesenPress has helped bring to the world.
- Overview of preparing for publication
You can expect to leave this presentation with a clear understanding of the self-publishing process, tips for preparing for publication and what options are available to you.
GIVEAWAY: We will be giving away a free manuscript evaluation (valued at $499) to one of the attendees of the event!
