Art of Managing Your Career – Indigenous Perspectives. This FREE two-day online workshop will provide an overview of the practical skills needed to manage the business side of your art career. Artists and crafters of all disciplines—beaders, fashion designers, photographers, sculptors, visual artists, performance artists and others—will benefit from this workshop.
You are an artist. You have been working at mastering your craft for years. You have a body of work to present. To sell. To Perform. What do you do? What is the first steps to selling yourself, and your work? How do you get your name out there, become an entrepreneur of your own brand? How do you fund your artistic career? Where do you apply for grants? How do you plan to develop your business? How do you reconcile your costs for supplies against the money you’ve made as an artist? What does it mean to be self-employed and self-sufficient? These are all the behind the scenes skills that an artist needs to learn to manage their career.
In the Art Of Managing Your Career we cover all these questions including business plan development, finances, marketing, artist bio, artist CV, and Indigenous Artists grant opportunities. It’s the first step to planning and managing your career as an artist.
