Renowned for its annual flagship festival, Folklorama is the cornerstone of ethno-cultural arts in Manitoba. Beyond the two (2)-week festival every August, Folklorama keeps culture thriving in the community on a year-round basis through its Ethno-Cultural Arts (ECA) division. This division focuses on programming, education, and entertainment featuring a variety of ethno-cultural artists in the community, both affiliated to Pavilions and those who are independent. As the demand for programming increases, Folklorama is seeking a community-minded, goal-driven individual to join the team in the new role of Manager, Ethno-Cultural Arts.
Reporting to and working collaboratively with the Director, Ethno-Cultural Arts, the Manager will support the development, coordination, and management of all Folklorama Ethno-Cultural Arts Programs and Special Events, with a focus on proactively seeking revenue growth opportunities and nurturing client and member relationships. The Manager, Ethno-Cultural Arts works closely with the Coordinator, Ethno-Cultural Arts to ensure administrative functions and logistics are completed as required, providing exceptional customer service to a variety of Folklorama stakeholders.

Terms of Employment & Location:
One (1) position is available, with start date to be discussed during interview process. Evening, weekend, and out-of-town work will be required from time to time. Otherwise, schedule is generally 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with the main work location being the Folklorama Head Offices at 2nd Floor, 183 Kennedy Street.
Compensation & Benefits:

Education and Experience:
Applicants should have post-secondary education in sales, management or hospitality or a combination of education/experience and at least three (3) years in a similar environment. Meeting Planners Institute designation is an asset.
Additional Requirements:
Due to the needs of the position throughout the year, candidates are required to have a valid Manitoba Class 5 driver’s license and regular access to a vehicle. A clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) is required at time of hiring.
