Design for Non-Designers with Ksenia Broda-Milian

Join designer Ksenia Broda-Milian as she breaks down her design process and philosophy – a great learning opportunity for aspiring designers as well as directors looking for a better understanding of how design can support their vision! In this workshop, we’ll discuss and explore how simple visual choices can make an impact and help you create your world to support telling your story.
About the Artist:
Ksenia is a set, costume, and lighting designer, educator, Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification Professional, and member of the Associated Designers of Canada/IATSE 659.
Ksenia gets excited about creating designs that incorporate transformation and movement, and allow for interaction with performers. She loves projects that allow her to bring in her music and dance backgrounds. She trained at the University of Winnipeg (BAH, BSc), University of Alberta (MFA), Banff Centre, the Pratt Institute, and in many multi-disciplinary workshops. Ksenia has designed for theatre and dance from southern Ontario to Vancouver Island, and recently exhibited eco-scenography at World Stage Design.
