Digital Theatre with Chloe Ziner

How do we translate a feeling of connection and LIVEness to an online format? We want to get you excited about the possibilities of live streaming! Chloe Ziner from Mind of a Snail Puppet Co. will share their approach to designing an engaging live stream using mostly free or low-cost software. You’ll get an overview of the basics as well as a taste of some interactive and experimental possibilities. We hope you’ll leave this workshop with lots of inspiration and ideas and the tools to start moving forward to make your own online performances, presentations, or interactive live streams.

About the artist

Chloe Ziner is a director, multi-disciplinary artist, designer, performer and co-founder of Mind of a Snail Puppet Co. They have created and toured original shadow theatre performances across Canada and internationally. More recently, they have been integrating live video and online interactivity into their tool kit. They have done digital dramaturgy for Deanna Fleysher, Kleine Compagnie, Scantily Glad Theatre and more. Chloe believes the tech we choose to use in performance should always be in service to a genuine connection with our audience.
