About Yvette Rochon:
Yvette was inspired to do this art piece by the many fun board games she created in collaboration with her sister, while they were growing up in Seven Sisters Falls, Manitoba. The piece is a three-dimensional collage of different toys, games and game pieces, which she associates with children playing. She encourages everyone who views this art piece to play, explore and fidget with its many interactive features.

Solange obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours from the University of Manitoba in 2022. The centrepiece of this installation, a 3-tiered cake sculpture titled You Want a Piece of Me?, won the provincial prize for the BMO 1st Art! National Competition and was featured in an exhibition at the University of Toronto. Solange was the Fall 2023 artist in residence at Casa Art Center in Lethbridge, Alberta. She conducted a two-day workshop and an artist talk for the community, and her work was exhibited at the end of her residence at Casa.
