Freeze Frame will be screening two Canadian films this year: Katak, The Brave Beluga, and Jules au pays d’Asha. Katak, directed by Christine Dallaire-Dupont & Nicola Lemay, is an animated adventure film about a young beluga and his perilous journey to prove he is grown-up. Jules au pays d’Asha, directed by Sophie Farkas Bolla, is a live-action film about a 9-year-old boy with a rare disease who goes on an adventure to find a cure with his mysterious new friend, Asha.
Katak, The Brave Beluga will be screening in English at 11 am and 3 pm.
Jules au pays d’Asha will be screening in French at 1 pm.
Additionally, there will be a Stop Motion Animation Station set up in the lobby outside the theatre. Filmgoers can come before film screenings throughout the day to learn the basics of stop-motion animation from Freeze Frame’s engaging facilitators.
