Music of the Caribbean (vocal workshop)

Dates: February 1, 8, 15 & 22 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Celebrating Black History Month and following the success of her 2023 African-American Spirituals Vocal Workshop, Adèle M. Wilding will be offering a 4-part vocal workshop exploring music from the Caribbean. The first three sessions will explore influences and various repertoire from calypso to reggae music and from the traditional to the modern eras. Artists such as Harry Belafonte, Jackie Opel and Bob Marley will be featured in these sessions.
The final session will consist of a rehearsal and a 30-minute public performance of the songs learned in the sessions.
