Plug In ICA is thrilled to announce the official 2023 STAGES Opening Weekend Tours and Launch Party!
Please join us on August 11th for a Sneak Peek Walking Tour of STAGES starting at 3 pm! In conjunction with this tour, artist Lou Sheppard will be doing a performance at 7 pm, 376 Donald St.
The official STAGES Opening Trolley Tour will be held on August 12th, from 1 – 3 pm. To reserve your spot for either tour, please email Ela Wasney at ela@plugin.org.
On the evening of August 12th, Plug In ICA invites you for an evening of music, speeches and celebration hosted by The Beer Can located at 1 Granite Way at 7 pm!
Between August 11 and September 3, 2023, we will run six projects throughout the city by six selected artists from across the country. Each of these artists has selected and researched a site within the city limits to activate, respond to, or consider as a point of departure. The artists gathered for this iteration of STAGES represent an array of idiosyncratic practices with a nuanced attunement to the world today and its ever-refracting complexities. They work within and around modalities that are steeped in social, theoretical, and aesthetic practices in equal measure. Their respective artistic disciplines are invariably multiple and generous in what they impart. We are excited to share their work and the intricate conversations they hold.
