Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra presents Trombone and Other Delights featuring Audrey Ochoa

$20 – $42The Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra starts its 27th season off in style! Their first concert of the year, ‘Trombone and Other Delights,’ features a very special guest, the extremely elegant and highly original jazz artist Audrey Ochoa.
Audrey Ochoa, one of Edmonton’s most prolific trombone players, finds herself at home in any genre of music. Ranging from Jazz, Rock, Latin, Punk, and Ska, Audrey can do it all! Imbuing all of her work with her playful and liberated style, Audrey has been a centrepiece of the Canadian music scene for years, enjoying the No. 1 spot on the Canadian Jazz charts with her album ‘Afterthought’ (2017) and winning “Jazz Artist of the Year” at the Western Canadian Music Awards in 2020.
Joining her exuberant skill with the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra, Audrey will be sharing songs from her ‘Trombone and Other Delights’ (2013) album with Winnipeg audiences this October 22nd at 2:00 PM at the West End Cultural Centre (586 Ellice Avenue). This chart-topping album has been hailed as fearless, full, warm and expressive, and this live performance of her debut work is sure to be a musical experience you won’t soon forget!
Tickets are $42 for adults and $20 for youth or under 30 years.
