Roy Mexted

CEC is a Treaty One–based artist and producer blending contemporary R&B, folk, and singer-songwriter craft in English and Spanish. Their music features slow grooves, layered vocals, and intimate lyrics inspired by artists like Al Green and Lianne La Havas. In 2025, CEC showcased at BreakOut West Festival and was selected as one of seven producers for Music Publishers Canada’s Women in the Studio National Accelerator. CEC draws on their experiences of living in Canada, the U.S., and Spain to create music that is both personal and expansive. In Winnipeg, they operate The Clubhouse, a studio supporting queer and gender-diverse artists, producers, and engineers.

I am a Filipino-Canadian emerging actor and creative storyteller/filmmaker passionate about bringing authentic, emotionally grounded characters to life. My work is driven by a belief that stories have the power to connect people across cultures, inspire empathy, and spark meaningful conversations.

Growing up between cultures has shaped my perspective and fuels my interest in portraying diverse experiences with honesty and depth. Whether performing on screen, collaborating with fellow artists, or developing my craft through continuous training, I am committed to creating work that resonates with audiences and reflects the richness of our shared humanity.
