Founded in 1991, Wild Roots Theatre is a Winnipeg-based, incorporated charitable theatre organization dedicated to environmental education through performance—what we proudly call "Theatre for the Planet". Starting out as activists, we have grown to offer programming for kids, families and the general public, creating participatory theatrical experiences that make environmental and community issues feel real, urgent, and personal.

We explore environmental science through theatre, allowing participants to imagine, empathize and laugh, all while understanding the serious issues we face. We inspire audiences and participants to be gentler on our planet, giving them both hope and accountability through meaningful yet simple changes in daily habits, with tangible goals.  Our programming is informative, realistic, and optimistic, emphasizing community spirit and individual action, with the message that every little bit of help is an invaluable contribution.

Through love of theatre -story, play, and emotional engagement- we elicit connection and real action. We aim to create artistic, engaging and memorable theatrical experiences that promote environmental stewardship and empower people of all ages to participate in climate protection. Grounded in sustainable practices, we are committed to diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility in all the work we do.

We are a not-for profit volunteer board dedicated to planning and hosting the Beauhead Arts Festival, a vibrant celebration of art and creativity in the Beausejour-Brokenhead River community. Since its inception in 2018, the festival has provided a dynamic platform for Manitoba-based artists to showcase and sell their work in the historic setting of the Pioneer Village Museum. Visitors can explore art exhibits, interactive workshops, live performances, and delicious local food in a one-of-a-kind atmosphere.

Urban Shaman Contemporary Indigenous Art is a charitable, not-for-profit artist-run centre located on Treaty 1 territory in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Founded in 1996, Urban Shaman continues to be a nationally recognized leader in Indigenous arts programming and one of the foremost venues and voices for Indigenous art in Canada. Urban Shaman is dedicated to the Indigenous arts community and arts community at large.

Hood and Dagger Productions is a Winnipeg registered charity with a mandate to Build Community through Community Theatre. Founded in January 2024, we produce three-show seasons of live community theatre, specializing in thrillers, mysteries, and tales of adventure.

Winner of the 2025 “Not-for-Profit of the Year” Award, we work together to create a respectful and positive environment for our volunteer cast and crew. We provide opportunities for everyday Winnipeggers to get involved in the Arts, whatever your experience level or background.

We aspire to create more than community theatre, but a community event, by supporting local businesses and partnering with a local charity for every show.

VP works at the intersection of art + technology, supporting the greater Winnipeg community through equipment and facility rentals, residencies, workshops, exhibitions and performances, video distribution, video digitization services and so much more!

Need a PA system or projector for a show? Equipment to make your latest and greatest artwork? Yup. We have it. Need a place to rehearse or teach a workshop or put on your next cool show? We can make that happen. Like analog gear? us too. Into digital weirdness? yeah we go there. Get in touch to see how we can help you!
