This project is a brand-new theatre festival focusing on audio dramas. All plays are original, created and performed by local (Manitoba) artists. The goal is to create a platform for local theatre artists to explore the genre and entertain with this well-loved art form. The aim of this Festival is twofold; first, the festive part of the festival, is to have the plays on-stage before  live audiences throughout Manitoba. Secondly, plays are recorded to go out to a wider audience (the rest of the world).

A pilot of this festival was held in October 2025. This is now Phase 2 of the project, with the Festival as an annual event. We would appreciate your input in shaping this Festival going forward. The Professional Program of The School of Contemporary Dancers is a four-year professional training program for dancers seeking a career in contemporary dance performance and is recognized as a leading national centre for professional contemporary dance training in Canada.  SCD is renowned across the country for the excellence of its training methods and high calibre of its students and graduates.​

​The School of Contemporary Dancers is a recognized post-secondary institution and has an affiliation with The University of Winnipeg where students may earn credits toward a BA (Honours) in Dance.

The Professional Program offers training in contemporary and modern dance, ballet, improvisation, partnering, voice, paedagogy, choreography and composition along with many workshop classes to facilitate professional development.

The Junior Program is geared toward middle school and high school students and others, who are studying at an intermediate level of training. Admission to the Program is by audition. The Program is ideal for students who have a special interest in contemporary dance performance and those who wish to become professional contemporary dancers.​

Our Youth and Adult General Programs are committed to providing a strong technical foundation while fostering creativity and artistry in all individuals. We invite our students to discover the benefits and joy of dance within a welcoming and non-competitive atmosphere.
