Deonys The Villain

Deonys The Villain is a digital alchemist, working with computer software, websites and traditional methods to create multi-media art. He loves poignant political commentary and symbolism in his work, mixing Filipino folklore and mythology with medieval imagery. He is an artist of many methods, poet, community organizer and wandering vampire witch that weaves storytelling with spirituality to create meaning out of the mess, transforming old perceptions into new perspectives.

His focus is on exposing unspoken cultural truths and observations through art, poetry and simple conversation, imbuing personal experiences with associations to how our little lives can affect and be part of the world. This is done through acknowledging the colonial effects of history, intergenerational trauma and other relevantly political themes within his work, as well as other potentially taboo topics that we can all relate to.

Nichol Marsch

Nichol Marsch (she/they), is a Metis artist/artisan from rural Manitoba (Treaty 1). Her practice is primarily based in large-scale multifaceted installations involving a variety of mediums and grounded in fine craft processes. Nichols favourite mediums include ceramics, textiles, wood, and collected/found objects. In addition to their conceptual visual art Nichol is also an active beadworker and practices a variety of traditional crafts processes which often make their way into her more conceptual work.
