Putting Your Art on Things to Sell with Sarah Neville and Christine Slater

Thursday, Nov 2, 2023, 7 – 9 pm online

Sarah Neville and Christine Slater have both created successful product-focused businesses based on their artwork. They will share tips on how multiples can help you to generate income and get your art out there! How do you decide what art translates onto an object? How do you decide what to put your art on? Where do you source suppliers? How do you manage inventory? Where and how do you sell the finished product?

Sarah Neville Studios developed from Neville’s love of creating, desire to get her creations into people’s homes and in the process spreading joy. Her unique and humorous designs are available on greeting cards, stickers, colouring books, tote bags, garlands and more, primarily through her online shop.

My name is Christine Slater, I am 39 years old from Peguis First Nation and Misipawistik Cree Nation. I am the owner of Red Road Clothing, Founder of Red Road Ribbons and Co-Owner of Red Road Printing.

Who are we and what do we do?!

Red Road Clothing was established in 2018 after a family fundraiser flourished into a family business. Indigenous artwork/story telling/traditional knowledge sharing on modern day clothing. Artwork is made by me and other indigenous artists we have collaborated with in the past.

Red Road Ribbons makes and produces Ribbon Skirts established in 2019. Now owned and operated by my daughter.

Red Road Printing is our newest business endeavour established in 2021. A print screening company. How we produce all our products now. All companies were founded by myself, inspired by the love I have for my children and now owned and operated by my family.
