Creative Accessibility: Anti-Ableist Talk

Created in partnership with Arts AccessAbility Network of Manitoba

Join AANM Executive Director Jenel Shaw for an anti-ableist workshop for the arts. This  workshop will cover Ableism, the history of people with disabilities in Canada, the disability rights movement in Canada, disability culture language and practical tips and suggestions to creating access at arts events and working effectively with d/Deaf and/or disabled artists.

Creative Accessibility is a series of workshops that will explore disability art, the experiences of artists with disabilities and how to make art accessible. These workshops will be beneficial not only for emerging artists with disabilities, but artists at all levels of their career with and without disabilities.
