Presenter

Ryan Santschi is the owner/operator of Interplay Design that specializes in high-performance websites powered by WordPress. He is a full-stack developer that is passionate about building simple, easy-to-use digital solutions with good typography. Ryan spends his time, joyfully, going over every detail of how to increase your website’s effectiveness, accessibility, site speed, and security. Ryan is a friendly and experienced communicator who is committed to educating people on responsible site development; he has recently taught WordPress development at Red River College and UofW’s PACE program.

As organizer of the WordPress Winnipeg meetup, Ryan spends his time contributing to the project that powers over 33% of the internet. There, Ryan comfortably talks on topics ranging from “how-to’s” for beginners to “Optimizing Server-side Cache” for experts. In 2016 (source: https://2016.winnipeg.wordcamp.org/) and 2015 (source: https://2015.winnipeg.wordcamp.org/) Ryan organized the Winnipeg WordCamp, a WordPress conference that has two tracks for both users and developers. Ryan loves the open-source world where he continually has the opportunity to both learn and teach.

Cancellation policy

Creative Manitoba reserves the right to cancel or postpone any event where a minimum registration level has not been met. Participants registered for an event that is cancelled by Creative Manitoba will receive a full refund.

Registrants may cancel up to one week before the event to receive a full refund. No refunds will be issued to registrants who cancel within one week of the event start date. No refunds will be issued for registrants who do not attend.

Substitute participants are allowed in most cases, but not all. Please check with us ahead of time if you wish to send a substitute participant by calling 204-927-2787.
