🏠The exhibit brings to light our ongoing efforts to create sustainable, community-friendly housing that incorporates energy solutions such as solar and wind. It also amplifies awareness of the housing crisis and the disproportional impacts for youth, 2-Spirit, and queer individuals within First Nations communities while tracing the historical and ongoing impacts of colonial policies that continue to shape housing conditions today. This exhibit is an opportunity to teach, learn and grow together as we examine critical issues related to sustainable, community-driven housing solutions.
Made possible through the collaboration of our partners: the University of Manitoba, the University of Saskatchewan, and Nutana Collegiate’s Industry and Career Education (N.I.C.E.) program, alongside Making the Shift. Together, we strive to foster a deeper understanding of housing solutions and promote sustainable, community-friendly housing projects.
If you can’t make it for the opening night, the exhibit will be open daily until November 23 from 12pm to 5pm.
