Creative Manitoba presents a variety of workshops, events, seminars and courses throughout the year for both independent artists and those working in arts and cultural organizations. Take a look at what’s coming up!

Creative Manitoba Indigenous Programs and Manitoba Moon Voices will host twice monthly hand drum circles with traditional knowledge keeper drummer Allison Cox at Creative Manitoba. We will honour traditional knowledge, practice the art, and sound the drum.

The Art of Managing Your Career offers working artists the confidence and knowledge to successfully manage their careers or businesses in the cultural sector. By the end of this course, you will have developed an extensive business plan, a marketing plan, and have a template for managing your finances.

This workshop will have you working with others in creative collaboration, as well as individually, using improv techniques to enhance and heighten your abilities to effectively communicate and present in front of people.

This workshop will give an overview of different ways to provide your audience with “a way in” to your work and deepen the experience of it, including everything from institutional standards for labelling, to experimental tours, to the blurb that appears on the back of an exhibition flyer.
